everything ends one day, my course is past today. It was very good experience. Honestly at the begining I really didn't know what I can expected. After four months full of interesting lectures with special guests and projects we've done I can say it was useful time and I can see trends which are moving with business nowadays. I'm glad that I didn't have to learn just empty phrases from books of economics which actually doesn't work in practice. So, last week is gone, it's over now!
Let me take a look back and summary what we have done and what I've been learned.
SSM project
On Tuesday we had final presentation in SSM office in Konala. My team was presenting the results of project we have done. In 15 minutes of Powerpoint presentation we were talking about developing marketing media strategy and main competitors for SSM. I have to say thank you to my groupmate Silver. His presentations skills and arguments are on professional level. It was very good cooperation with him during the presentation. I can feel that I improved my presentation skills, I was satisfy with the results. I'm very glad that SSM managers gave us positive feedback about the presentation and work we have done. The biggest thank you is for my teammates, without them this wouldn't be true anymore.
SSM as a company dominate finnish market with prented materials and direct mails. Even with this things their social media strategy is so poor. It's nice that they ask young people to help them develop this problem. Company web page is old-fashion and LinkedIn profile looks like a bad joke. Empty profile, no profile picture, bio about company etc. . Our team put some solutions and ideas on the table. We tried to be as much specific and conrete as we can. According to SSM managers and their feedback we done it right. That's a possitive feeling and kind of motivation for me.
What else I've learned?
The biggest suprise for me was the form of this curse. In my home university is always about memorizing things most of the time. Laurea UAS showed me another point of view on learning. In my opinion is more important to have a skills than just a knowledge from school. It's necesearry to know things works in practice. The another thing was that we have final project presentation instead of classic exam. I learned with that much more. In my own experience I know that mostly everything what I've learned on exam I forget in one month or less. Knowlendge and skills from project work I'll be use forever because they really matters.
At beggining I didn't know to much about digitality I was average user of PC and Internet (actually still I am) and I've know that digitality is trend but I had't any idea how it works in practice.
So what I actually learned?
The most usefull thing for me how to run B2B and B2C digital marketing I din't think that there could be so big differences about social media which are using for the digital media marketing strategy. The next big thing is personal branding. I thought that is kinda "selfish" thing to have own blog and writing things about myself. Does it matter for the others what I've done or how I feel? Let's say maybe more than I thought. Thnaks to this course I created my LinkedIn profile and I hope it gonna helps me in the future to find job I want to have.
At last I want to say big thank you to all lectors, tutors, classmates, teammates and to senior lecture Anna Ikonned who created this curse and gave us oportunity to look more deep into Digital Marketing! Thank you very much!
Today I'm going to talk about importatnt trends of nowadays. Let's guess what it will be. The trend is called digitalization and Internet of things (IOT). I boorow the tittle of this blog post from Dominic Mazzone it's a name of his book and in my opinion it shows current situation on the market very well and direct.
First of all it's good to know what digitalization is. Digitalization follow this definition: "The integration of digital technologies into everyday life. Digitalization
also means the process of making digital everything that can be
digitized and the process of converting information into digital format"1
Digitalization can be devided into four parts such as cost reduction, consumer behavior, competitive innovations and technologies avalaible.
Cost reduction - Cost
cutting through digitization sounds like yesterday’s story, but that
story is now being forced into reality today. The low hanging fruit of
digitization for many companies is marketing, but that sells
digitization short. It’s not that digitization of marketing efforts
through things like marketing automation, digital marketing or
E-commerce aren’t effective at driving revenue and cutting costs, but it
is just one cylinder of a robust 12 cylinder digital engine.2 Real
cost cutting through digitization comes in the form of things like
operations, customer care, finance, internal communications and overall
customer engagement. Probably cost cutting is the first thing which hits your mind when you hear cost reduction but thinking just about cutting cost it's path to hell. Let me explain why.
If cutting costs is the first thing that comes to mind when you think
about “cost optimization,” consider the example of an oil company. For
successive quarters, the entire industry has suffered from a deluge of
oil glut. Fortunately, the CIO took away an important lesson from the
Great Recession (which began in 2007): Don’t start thinking about cost
optimization only when you’re told to cut the budget.
As worldwide markets were recovering, the CIO worked with the business to make a case for investing in analytics
and forward-thinking capabilities such as visualization and modeling.
This has made its oil exploration efforts much more operationally
efficient (which is critical in such a heavy-asset-intensive business).
In challenging times, the company is already better equipped to weather
the storm.
When the economy shows signs of sliding downward, “Simply cutting the
IT budget and taking an approach of waiting until the economic
environment is more favorable to make digital investments” isn’t a
viable option for organizations that want to stay competitive, said Barbara Gomolski,
managing vice president at Gartner. “That approach limits your ability
to create revenue-generating opportunities when you probably need them
the most.”3 Costumer behavior - Costumer behavior is changing radicaly last few years. It's normal to buy thing via webside or apps. Before 20 years it was like sci-fi. With internet extension people start to think differently and they found the magic of clics. Just few clics with mouse and order is on the way to your door. For older generation is buying things via internet still something which older people don't believe in 100% but this fact is changing as well. Millenials can't imagine world without internet and buying stuffs online. For them (as well as for me) is wierd to hear stories about selecting goods via paper cataloque and send paper mail to the company with order and waiting long time for delivery. In my eyes it was complicated and it tooked so much time and energy to order something in way like this.
Even old fashion companies as banks are changing the way how to sell their financial service. We can't exist without internet banking nowadays anymore. Banks are push to reduce their taxes and make every money transactions online and fast as possible. They defend themselfs, that's true but they have to adapt on the market. If they don't, it's death for them. Competitive innovations - this start to phenomen with start ups, young compenies start to bring new ideas and solution to the table and other companies have to follow trends if they want to survive on the market. This preasure push companies use innovative ways of thinking and trading themself and products itself. In this case it's exactly like "adapt or die". It change thinking of companies radicaly. Even the big fish as Stockmann company is start to use digitaziton in their shops to be in and closer to costumers needs.
You can imagine lots of paper work with car registration in the gouvenamnt office. Lots of papers to sign, lots waste of time and money of course. In Finland it change rapidly in nowadays. As you can see in the picture bellow the process is very simple now.
Technologies avalaible - with digitalization technologies are closer to people and costs are lower than they were every before. Behind these technologies you can imagine smarthphones, apps, navigations or reservations systems. For example camera in many of yours phones wouldn't be so good and the phones wouldn't be so cheap without digitalization and massive extension of smarthphones.
The next of the day was about recruting young professionals. The topic was presented by Marcin Arcisz. He is CEO of Academic Work. Academic Work is a staffing and recruitment agency specializing in young professionals. Mission of the company is to offer jobs to the top talent of tommorow and oportunities for companies to hire young and ambitious professionals. For Academic Work the age is not criterium, more important are skills. They are looking for students of universities, colleges and also for academic with up to several professional skills. Clients of agency are from several different business areas and different size companies. It's companies like Neste, Gigantti, Fira, Santander etc. . People from AW brings new air to the recruitment business. The problems on market nowadays are such as conservative metodes, 50% of people go on penssion within 10 years. There is lack of people as real estate agents.
Now I'll be talk about how to create good webside. Let's follow few basic steps! 1) Objective - define market, users and individual users of the webpage you are designing. 2) Background - understand the users of the company's webpage, why and how customers wants to visit and use the company's webpage, your webside's main goal is to help existing and potential customers find the informazion they need as quickly and efficiency as possible. 3) Understand your individual customers needs - you need to understand: Who are your users? Why are they using the webpage? What behaviors, assumptions, and expections color their view of the webside? 4) Make it simple to use - devided the content into bookmarks for each group of users, make it synoptic as much as you can. The good example of each parts I mentioned before you can find bellow.
As always thanks for reading! Piece and love! Jan
Integration of digital technologies into everyday life by the digitization of everything that can be digitized.
Influencer marketing is type of marketing which is focused on using key leaders to drive your business. Key leaders help send your product message to the larger market. Rather than marketing directly to a large group of consumers, you
instead inspire / hire / pay influencers to get out the word for you. Influencer marketing goes often hand in hand with two other forms of marketing such as social media marketing and content marketing. Most influencer campaigns have some sort of social-media component,
whereby influencers are expected to spread the word through their
personal social channels. Many influencer campaigns also carry a content element in which either
you create content for the influencers, or they create the content
themselves.1
What are the Key Components of Influencer Marketing?
Influencer marketing is discipline on its own and it has specific rules itself.2
Identify key brand or product influencers, either manually or through a platform like TapInfluence
Create a marketing campaign directed at those influencers
Create a secondary marketing campaign for the influencers to drive greater awareness to a larger set of target consumers
Track key metrics relating to reach, sales and brand awareness
Moms and millenials are two biggest demographic groups where influencer marketing has seen success but every demographic target group could be influence by influencer type of marketing. Influencer marketing is not something very new in history. If we throw back we can see the phenomen "word of mouth" which has been long time seen as a key how to reach customers and influence their decisions to buy the product or service.
Micro vs Macro influencers
In the terms of social media, a micro-influencer can have somewhere between 1,000–100,000 engaging fans where a macro-influencer should have somewhere around 250,000, into the millions.3
Influencers comes in any shapes and sizes. It's encreasing trend nowadays on the market which means digital environment are many and many potential and active influencers from the smallest ones with thousends of followers to the biggest with millions subscribers. Influence marketing is variable for B2B and B2C businesses as well. You can imagine B2B bloggers such as blogging proffesors, students, actors or vine stars. Influencers are not as inaccessible as you’d think.
Micro influencers
Micro-influencers
tend to have intimate followings. Their fans are often more loyal and
engaging (ratio-wise) than that of bigger names. Micro-influencers are
especially great with niche markets and unique communities (i.e. paleo
brands, baby gear, dog sweaters…). 4
We can see in practice that micro influencers are more effective than bigger ones. Why? Because they have more closer relationships with their followers and in followers eyes are more personal. It's easier to target the right target group. For the smaller companies is this cooperation better option in case of budget. It's better for them to ask small influencers to reduce their budget.
Macro influencers
Influencers with more than 250 000 fans lost the advantage of very personal contact with followers but on the other hand they can reach bigger target group and influence more people in the same time. It's better to use these kind of influencers when you want to reach bigger audience with products which are based on global base or targeting not so much spacific type of customers. (i.e. mobile phones, financial service...) The next question is question of price. It costs more many to ask big influencef to work for you.
Which type of influencers is better?
It's hard to say if it's better to pay more for one macro influencer or divided the bunchet to smaller influncers. It always depends on type of product and size of target group. Advantage of smaller influencers are authentic followers who believes in 100% in brand of influencer and feel the personal touch in every single post. These people feel closer and believe that things you do you are doing in honest way. You are like friend of them. Trustworthy is the main key in this kind of business. Follower has to feel that the product is really useful for him/her and it's mark of quality. If try to propagate product which doesn't work is even worse for you because stories between people are the best marketing.
With macro influencers you can reach your potentional customers faster but results are not guaranteed. Bigger influencer is loosing advantages of the smaller ones such as deep personal touch and trustworthy. It's better to use these kind of influencers when you're promoting products such as cars, mobile phones or financial products. Your can easily control the message to customers and streamline the information flow about your product.
Conclusion
As I mentioned above it's hard to say which type of influencer marketing is better, it always depends on type of product you want to promote via influencer marketing. In my opinion is better to ask bigger amount of smaller influencers because followers feel more personal touch and trustworthy from them. The problem is that you have to be aware about subject of every message because every view of influencer is different and it's not possible to share totaly same content with differencial type of influencers.
Hi, this week is almost past now. That means I'm here again with my next boring blog spot. Let start with summarize what you can expect from me today.
This week was little bit diferent that the previous ones. The reason was that my senior lecture Anna Ikonen attended learning course in Scotland. The leaders for the week were Digital Coaches. We took just a short break from SSM project and focused on something else. The something else means project for Heinon Tukku Oy.
I'm not Finnsih so this company says nothing to me. The truth is that Heino is one of the biggest B2B provider in food industry in Helsinki area and even in Finland. Lets go breathly little bit deep to the company history and staffs around.
Heinon Tukku Oy is family business which was founded on 1899 (how big tradition this company in Finland has!) and nowadays company has more than 500 emplyees and they offer range with more than 30 000 products. As I mentioned before Heinno is concentrated to B2B services. The business concept they themself named HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering) .
Source
You can imagine turnover in 251 milions euro in 2016, it's quite big amount of money, right? The goal is much more further! Heino wants to be wholesaler for every companies in Finland. Very selfconfident statement in my opinion but why not?!
The goal for us as Digital business students was to create marketing plan for the new service. It means that Heino starts to offer deliver service for bigger amount of companies than which are included in HoReCa concept. The concept is straight delivery to offices via simple order app. The purpose was make a path how to support their new order app and make it visible in the market. Lets take a look what we have done. I show you step by step what you should do to reach your customers if you want to advance your app. It will be on example of Heino company. 1st STEP: Define your target group
For Heino company target group are potential customers from offices, start ups (+ 10 ppl) and bigger companies. 2nd STEP: Make a survey
Survey help you to define range of your customers and suitable kind of products or deliver time 3rd STEP: Price and package
Make sure what your compatitors do in the market. We found that competitors of Heino offer they products delivery aproximately around 7,90 EUR but Heino wish is to offer delivery for 10 EUR. The next thing is take care of pre-pared packages but still have a chance for option. Choose right amount of products do you offer. Customers always want to choose the right option. In service like food delivery is more important to offer big variety of products such as fresh and high quality fruit, drinks, coffee or cakes and varieties of cold snacks including baquettes, sandwiches etc. . Consider your view also on package. Trend of nowadays is to be green and enviromental friendly as much as possible. Use re-usable packaging. Packages gives you also space to be more visible and recognizable. The same visual look as in your application is good tip how to developt your visibility and brand name.
Promocode with free delivery is good thing to start as well. It's handy, easy to use and people can share it! It helps you to reach bigger amount of potential customers and again be more visible. 4th STEP: Package and marketing
Good idea is use "Monday starter pack". Why? I think that for every one Monday morning sucks. Monday starter pack help you be more fresh after hard weekend in the club. It includes coffee, small snack and fruit. Your energy will boost in a minute!
Make your package more visiual add some funny /meme/ cards with your logo on it. Also ask people to share it. Let the power of hastags talk for you and include then in social media marketing campaign, use them openly.
Your delivery trucks are very good space for advertisement as well as packages. Make them visual, use hashtags, logos and slogan.
Lets people talk about you and offer them discount when they tell you about to the others. Give a sale for the first order or if you order now you get 5 EUR off. How simple and efective it is. 5th Social media campaign
Work with stories, it always works. People like stories even telling them. We thought about this. Tell us story about your monday morning brew and win the free delivery of your choice. Don't forget to use hashtags!
Use Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and share your ideas, products.Blog is also good way how to present yourself. Remember to pay for PPC advertising and email marketing. Concentrated your power to Search engine optimalization strategy. It helps you be more visible in searching in Google, Yahoo etc.
I summarize the process step by step. Now you can have just a short imagination how to make your app visible in customers eyes.
time is running out fast and sunday is here back again. I start with sharing my feelings. I'm so happy that spring is here. Sun is shining, outside temperature is higher and higher, day by day. Sun shines gives me so much good feelings. Today I took a walk around to the forest and than I was sitting on the rock and I was sunbathing. It remainds me that I have a balcony in my apartment and I'm so exited to sit outside and drink wine for exmpale.
Main blog is mainly about my studies so come back to work. My school week start as usuall on Monday. Topic of the day was SEO. SEO is not something magical or secret, it means Search Engine Optimalization. I think that every one of us using Google search, right? SEO help you to be more visible in Google searching. I found more behind SEO thanks to lecture Mercy Maina. Let's take little bit more deeper look into SEO.
SEO is definited as "SEO is a marketing discipline focused on growing visibility in organic
(non-paid) search engine results. SEO encompasses both the technical and
creative elements required to improve rankings, drive traffic, and
increase awareness in search engines." Source
SEO isn't just about developt search engine of your webside. It helps your customers or partners feel better on your webside. Why is SEO so important for you? As I mentioned few sentences before is neccesary to be visible on Google, Bing or Yahoo if you want to be succesful in your business and be visible for others.
As you can see on the picture above (source) Google has the biggest part of "cake". Via Google are searching 80% of resoults. Be visible in Google basicaly means be alive! Even if search engines are smart, they still need some help. How can you basicaly make your site more visible? Use hastaghs with key words or keywords itself. For example when some will search "new car" your webside should show this key word somewhere in articles or in description which maybe the best way. Here just one "but" it means that don't use key words so much. If you do, it doesn't look professional.
Another way how to easy developt your SEO is sharing some links to very good webside which is connected with your business.
Next part will be about PPC ads. Behind this shortcut are covered words "Price per click". It means that you paid for amount of clics on the link. It's quite cheap advertisment strategy on Google. PPC is not so efective as pay for place in best results on first Google search side. Diference between PPC and Organic/Natural search results you can see in the picture down bellow.
Advertising on google is made via Google AdWords. It's aplication from Google where you can create your own advertisent content see the results and manage staffs around. Environment of Google AdWords you can see in the picture down bellow.
As you can see in the picture it shows you how much you paid, status of each ad if it's active or not. Every ad here is named as a "campaign". You can manage the time long of each ad, in which week days the ad is active, in which time etc.
Don't forget the fact that Google advertising is using by many companies. Make your own "campaign" unique and catchy. Use key words in your ad as well as on your webside. Make your ad strong as a "bullet".
Second lecture of the week was little bit different that the others because we had to present results of our runing project for Finish company SSM. Each team has its own Powerpoint presentations with results. We presented our work in the front of managers of the company. I was suprised that almost each team made a profesional work. I'm really proud of my team-mates. We made very good presentation and I can say that the way how the projects goes is better than very well. Review from managers was very possitive, they said that we made profesional work so far. I'm glad to hear that.
This is the end of quite short blog today. My point of this was to be as much remember as possible. I hope that I help you to developt your SEO. If you have any questions make a comment down bellow!
it's time for my next blog post. This blog gonna be about marketing agency TBWA and influencer marketing which represented trend of nowadays.
Last I week I had an oportunity to visit marketing agency TBWA which cooperate with big companies such as Nissan, Red Bull, Neste etc. Today I'd like to talk more about Red Bull and Neste. Red Bull start to build his own media strategy few years ago, in nowadays Red Bull has it's own internet tv channel, support moto race, sports man and has another activities which build the brand. Why Red Bull does it all? Because managers in Red Bull perceived few years ago as one of the first that on the market are lots of similar products as their energy drink. The drink not more than some kinds of vitamins, coffeine and sugar. The product is not what makes a diferents. The diferents is the marketing strategy, Red Bull sailes more support activity that a drink itself today. This company has it's own marketing department and the department itself works as a marketing and media agency. Red Bull is full of creative minds with open thinking and people from Red Bull tear down the walls of average and grey commercial which we can see everyday inn our lifes. If I could say you that Formula 1 monopost gonna ride up on the ski slope, I'm sure that you think of me that I'm dump and crazy. But this is the thing which people from Red Bull do and count it with that as a real project and part of their marketing strategy.
Let's begin with the trend of brand building with company Neste. Neste is one of the biggest petrol companies in Finland. They don't do oil mining itself but buy and utilize oil products in their refinery in Finland. Neste start to make oil products from recycled oil products and follow the trend of sustainable development. They ask TBWA marketing agency with cooperation on marketing strategy supporting their idea. At the beggining Neste was sceptic to TBWA thoughts and managers of the company wasn't so much open for completely different type of marketing than the marketing which they know and used at that time. After some time TBWA people changed mind of Neste managers and the project start to begin. TBWA ask Prince Ea for cooperation. Prince Ea is "viral king" of nowadays. His videos hve milions of views. The idea is not tell people that they should buy a Neste products. The campaign teach people start to think differently. Think more about their future and teaching them enjoying the moment in presence. Clip down bellow is the one of the main content of the campaign.
Second part today gonna be about Digital Business tools. This topic was presented by Ikka Kurkela ex-lector in Laurea Otaniemi UAS. He is currently working as Business area director in Helsinki University. As I mentioned above his topic was about tools using in digital marketing. Ikka has plenty of work experinces in marketing, he was working for Stockmann, University of Tampere, JTO and few orher companies.
The presentation was divided into three parts. The first one was Digital Marketing and Growth Hacking. As you already know degital marketing is divided by medias into three parts.
- Paid media (general customers)
- Owned media (customers)
- Earned media (super fans)
Create your content in every single social network you can and developt your digital strategy by using these channels. Imagine the digital marketing and sales funnel. It works like that.
Another tool is that you need to be visible in Google as show next photo.
As you can see in the picture in Google is 69% of content. So recommadation is use google little bit more! The second thing is that Google offers paid prioritize of your content or articals. If you paid for your visibility do it correctly. Tip how to do it right is down bellow in the picture.
Now I give you few tips how to developt your SEO - Search engine optimization essentials.
- Title
- Headlines (H1, H2, H3)
- Content (Blog!) and time spent
- Metadata
- URL structure
- Links from other sites
Don't forget to optimize your videos and pictures as well.
All in all. Get the tools, Bouild your visibility and try the apps (if it's suitable for your type of business)
Third part of my blog today will be influencer marketing. We are living in the age of youtubers and companies noticed that. One of the most efective to reach to young customers is use their favourites youtube chanels and youtubers to distribute products or support the brand name. More about this topic I heard from Rikka Nuutinen from Drum comminications agency. Hers speech had a title "The what, why and how of Influencer Marketing" . Drum was founded in 2006 and it's 6th biggest and according to Rikka 2nd best agency in Finland. You can find the agency in Kamppi, Helsinki.
At the begginng let show in quote what influncer marketing is. Lets follow the deffinition. "Influencer marketing is a type of marketing that focuses on using key opinion leaders to drive your brand's message to the larger market. I was talking about youtubers but influencer marketing has little bit longer history. Basicaly it starts with first TV commercial. Influncers was celebrities and actors. In nowadays influencer marketing going through changes as indicate at the beggining of this paragraph. The new celebrities become people from youtube.com. Youtubers are new "workers" of marketing. They can reach to bigger and bigger audince and this trend will grow in next few years. Most of young people are influence by youtubers in massive way. They for example excecise or eat in the way how their most popular youtubers do. On youtube are thousants of channels via companies can reach their potencial customers and they start to do that in nowadays acttualy. So what's benefits of influencer marketing?
- it reaches the right people
- brand presence in more channels with no strings attached
Let me show you few different ways to do influencer marketing.
- product seeding
- content creation
- long term sponsorship
- events
How does it work in practice?
The process is following:
- find the right influencers and contact them
- Plan the concept
- Agree on the details and price
- Implement
- Measure
At the end of this blog spot I'd like to tell few practical tips how to use influncers marketing better.
- Find your perfect match
- Listen to the influencer's ideas
- Make a clear agreement about what you are going to get
- Think about metrics - in advance
The trend of nowadays is that influencer marketing is start to use in B2B service as well. We will see in the future how it will work.
Dear readers, I'm here again to tell you about my week. Last week it was more about travelling than work but now I'm back in work process again.
On Manday I had a lecture in Laurea Otaniemi, the topic was "The power of story" (as the tittle of this post is) and I be honest and say that I didn't expect something new that I don't know. Cause as I wrote before today is the age of stories. Every people around us tell us, "make a story". Well, I like stories and without story will be apple just apple, nothing more behind, but if you know where and by who the apple was cultivate with, the situation is changed and you buy the apple with story rather than the one without. It still apple but the story make it special. Now I'm reaching the point what about I want to talk about.
On Moday I met very interesting person, her name is Aida Hubanic. The name doesn't sound Finnish, right? The reason is that Aida was born in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Aida had childhood as every kids has around the world till the moment when the bomb during civil war in the former Yugoslavia exploded near her house in the moment when her brother was playing with other kids on playground. Detonation was so massive and destructive. Dust was everywhere and couple of minutes Aida can't hear anything couse of explosion. She as the first member of family who run out of his house and found her brother. She run out from the house without any fear. Her once and only thoughts were about her 13 years old brother. She found her close to their family house in dust and with his face and hand in blood. From this moment she has memory lapse for nest few days.
It was very hard to find medical care during the war. Small Aidas brother and 5 other boys who was playing with him on playground have luck that Aidas father known one taxi driver who has permission for traveling all around Sarajevo city. He kept them into cab and went all children to hospital. Injury of Aidas brother was hard and without urgent care and operation he would lose his hand. His Father contact Croatian doctor in Finland and whole family was moved to the north. The plan was stayed in Finland till moment when Aidas brother will be cure. Hubanic family is in Finland 22 years already and they never get back to Sarajevo.
Aida Hubanic and my lecture Anna Ikonen
"My mission is to encourage you in boulding your own story where powerful dreams, knowledge, passion, soul and many more possibilities can uplift your uniqueness." Aida Hubanic
Aida presented us except her powerful story "The Game Jam". What is it? Gam Jam has been organised for several years all around the world it is instrument to stimulate innovation the creation, development and deployment of educational games. It's organized in 9 countries, 12 different locations. Theme for 2015 was "Adopting healthier lifestyle" . The winner of the event awarded in Business Game Jam, in 2015 was in Barcelona. The Game Jam: - Planing a game (mind map)
- Sharing responsibilities and developing game
- Presenting the game
- Evaluation and rewarding the winner team (trip to Business Game Jam)
Everything in 48 hrs.
The winner team in 2015 was a team in which Aida was a member. They made a game witch is called "Hungry cells". It's a game for Ipad or another iOs devices. How does it look you can see in the picture down bellow.
The target group for this game are children from 7 to 13 years old. The point of the game is change eating habbits of children to more healthy lifestyle.
Now I'd like to go back to story time. The tool how to better presented yourself is called 3E puzzle.
1E: Finding your unused resources and unshakable possibilities
2E: Liberating yourself from limitations and developing self growth
3E: Building your own story - concretizing your thoughts and dreams
explore VISION - expand PLAN - execute ACTION
Next tool is represented by this question: "How do you see me when I'm at my best?"
The way how to way out is simple:
1) where you are good at (it's importatnt to get feedback from different people of your network)
2) What are your strenghts (underline your strenghts, not undeterminate them)
3) In which direction your personal branding is heading at (how others see you, how you see yourself)
One the most important thing how to reach your goals is motivation, so how to be motivate?
Boost your energy and drive
Turn your weakness into strenghts
Learn to give compliments but also to receive ones!
It's easy to write down but do it, it's more complicated. I show you facts which kills your motivation.
What kills your motivation? - Slow beggining, not sure how to start

As I mentioned at the beggining of this post I'm at work, I had quite bussy week. Except lecture I was at eCommerce and Food fair in Helsinki. I visit the fair in Thursday 9.3. 2017. Because I'm food lover my first steps were to the food fair. It was focused on fast food and casual restaurants. Companies offerd lots of sumplers and products. They were represented from small companies to big ones such Fazer, Findus, Hainz to local finnish companies. The biggest suprise was tent with vegan food, they presented soya meet. I'm honest and I can say that I never tought that "artificial" meat can taste like this. The structure and taste was like a real chicken leg.
After tasting I moved to eCommerce fair which was located in another pavilon at Mesukeskus. I was watching presentation about "Content square" (user experience analysis and optimatisation platform).
The main tittle is that you should keep your customers and margins. It's logical I think but lots of companies forget about this simple recommendation. It cost 5x more acouring a new to an existing customer. Last trend how to reach new customer was sell goods or service in sails. The trend nowadays is changing, price is not just the only one aspect which is decesive. The key factor is USP=User Experience. "The overall experience of a person using a product such as a web side or a computer application, especially in terms of how easy or pleasing is to use" We are living in the world of experience. Walker predicts that CX (customer experience) will be more importatnt than price or product by 2020. "Good UX means you'll get more conversions , and more conversions means you can spend more money on user acquistions" (Alex Francis, founder and CEO - loveholidays.com) Another trend is use analytics and not user groups. The reason why is simple. Not your real demographic and customers focused on pre-defined objectives lenghty and expensive process - 3 weeks+ typically no actionable insights. So use data to rescue! :) Example that customer experience works you can find down bellow. Gazprom is one of the biggest Natural gas producer in the world.
Use more user experience strategy in your business, it helps you get more customers and earn more money! :)
