DigiPeople

Hey!

It's Tuesday and I write new blog for you. The reason why so early is that I'm going to Lapland tommorow. I'm pretty excited to see real Aurora Borealis and explore north part of Finland. My biggest challenge will be swimming in the Arctic ocean in Norway! My dreams come true! :)

Todays post will be about video again. I had the to see work of company DigiPeople, they are specialist in video making and visual presentations. My lacture was Pekka Tuominen, CEO of  DigiPeople. He made impressive introduction of his company. Showed us video commercial for theit customer Ifolor. Excellent peace of work you can see here in link. Ifolor video

 As you can see in the video is important to work with light, sharp of the scene etc.  But the main thing is, has its own STORY. Do your marketing as a story, people love stories! Very good example of the company with story is Apple. Apple is the almost the same company as the others. They sell computers, smartphones and mp3 players. The differnce from the other competitors is the story behind all company and their products. Apple was established by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Ronald Wayene in year 1976. First Apple computer was made in Steve Jobs garage. Basic capital of new made company was 1300 USD. Jobs sold his VW Van and Wozniak his science calculator. This is the start of the story of one most innovative and richest companies in the world.Perfection makes Apple products the best in the world. Attentiont to every single detail of product starts in the moment when you out pack box with your new iPhone (or whetever you buy from Apple) continue with perfect design and ends with friendly use platform. Apple products are not cheap and never will be but people are still want to buy Apple. Why? Because they believe in the brand and products.

Legendary Apple commercial presented first Macintosh in 1984.



Macintosh didn't change just Apple it change whole computer world.

Steve Jobs presented first iPhone in 2007. As you can see in the video he presented story not just the product.




Why is Apple so succesful with the stories? The reason is very simple. Answer you can find your own brain. Everyone probably know that our brain divided into two parts. Left part is responsible for logical things such as counting, language, numbers... Right part of our brain is dominated by feelings, emotions, visual things. You can take a guess witch part of brain is more importatnt when we decited to buy a new product. It's not a numbers or logical aspects, it's emotion which makes the final decision.



It's easy to remember, right? But almost every companies make marketing in wrong way, because they attact the left part of our brain. Simon Sinek make a "golden circle" which represents thinking of companies.

100% of companies ask to themselfs question "what". They know what they are selling.  Then the circle is coming to be smaller. Not every company knows "how" they do the sell. They sell with nothing specific idea behind. And the last and most important part is "WHY". Into this point went just very small percent of companies. Why means why they actualy do the business. It's not answer about money. It's answer about passion and goals behind it. Companies which doing "WHY" part of circle they have their own story behind their mark and products they sell. Apple went from the beginning from the question why to the question what. This is the reason why this brand is so successful.

Come back to making videos. Making video is a process with strict rulles. The first one is make a synopsis. (What is synopsis)

Then you need to go through Moodboard. Moodboard shows the emotions of your video. It's neccesary for find the right "mood strategy" of your video spot. Here is an example of moodboard.
